Artist Perry Dixon Maple creates his artwork through a very unique process.  He begins traditionally in drawing then manipulates these drawings further digitally.  From this digital phase, he then transfers the images onto paper which he carefully cuts and further paints.  The final step is one that separates his finished work from that of many artists.  He laboriously arranges the cut and painted paper into layers of resin that become frozen in place creating a serene atmospheric effect.

The impact of Maple's work relies heavily on the art of storytelling and the artist's goal is to see his own original stories translate into film, video games, comics, and more as he continues to work as a freelance artist.  After studying Entertainment and Illustration at the Art Center College of Design, Maple has been working for over two years in the art department for DreamWorks' upcoming feature animation, Rise of the Guardians, releasing in November 2012.  Maple's gallery work has been featured in numerous Nucleus exhibitions.

I want this as a print!

We can't promise prints for every piece, but if the interest is high, it may be an option.
