Scruffote is the elusive evolution of Cubote. Their evolution is tied to lunar cycles and takes place only during a total lunar eclipse. Following this initial exposure, their change progresses over many years, and requires repeated exposure to partial eclipses. During these times it is reported that the creature momentarily levitates. These claims, and many like it, are tied to the extensive mystic lore that surrounds the creature. If one manages to sight a Scruffote in the wild, it is believed the onlooker will be blessed with good luck until the next eclipse.
